Shepherd Staff is honored to be working with Fellowship Bible Church in Pearland, TX as they search for their next Student Ministry Pastor. Fellowship Bible Church is a local body of believers who have adopted the mission that they are "Growing Together to Glorify God by Making Disciples." They are committed to intentional, sequential discipleship of God's people starting at whatever stage of life and spiritual interest they may find themselves. They believe that their mission doesn't just begin or end with Sunday services, but instead continues daily and weekly as they meet and gather in small groups, medium-sized groups, and large groups to grow in their relationship with God and others.

POSITION OVERVIEW

The purpose of the Student Ministry Pastor is to provide vision, direction, leadership and pastoral care for the families of Jr. High and High School students and their families at Fellowship Bible Church that is consistent with the constitution, doctrine and philosophy of ministry of the church.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Plan, supervise, and implement vibrant and dynamic Sunday morning educational ministry for students from Jr. High through High School. 
  • Recruit, train, and supervise volunteers to serve according to their passion and gifts in appropriate areas of Student Ministry
  • Assist with church-wide pastoral staff responsibilities and serve as a member of the pastoral staff team. 
  • Plan, supervise, and implement vibrant and dynamic small group ministries for all students from Jr. High through High school. 
  • Plan, supervise, and implement vibrant and dynamic ministry designed to reach students in the community. 
  • Plan, supervise, and implement special activities such as camps, retreats, and conferences consistent with FBC’s vision and purpose statement. 
  • Plan, supervise, and implement meaningful community service ministry opportunities both within the Student Ministry and participating with church-wide community service ministries.  
  • Be an excellent team player, have or quickly develop a personal approach to ministry that is in line with our Philosophy of Ministry and the relational emphasis on ministry and ‘doing life’ together we are trying to build. 
  • Generate, administer and implement a Student ministry budget
  • Participate in the life of Fellowship Bible Church as a member of the body and pastoral staff/leadership team
