Shepherd Staff is honored to be working with Cityview Bible Church in Round Rock, TX as they search for their next Minister To Students. Cityview Bible is a spiritually vibrant, growing congregation committed to reaching people with the life-changing reality of Jesus Christ. Planted in 2007, Cityview now has an average weekly attendance of over 800 adults and 300 children and students. 


The goal of this position is to provide spiritual leadership, pastoral care, and strategic vision to

the Student Ministry at Cityview Bible Church by investing in the spiritual maturity and growth of the students (80-100 on a regular basis); identifying and equipping a team of lay-leaders (35-40 core volunteers); and partnering with parents in the discipleship of the next generation

POSITION OVERVIEW

The next Minister to Students at Cityview will be primarily responsible for the ministry activities related to Middle School, High School, and College students. They will inherit a strong and dedicated team of approximately 40 adult volunteers and a student ministry that currently serves around 100 students each week. 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Leadership and Administrative Duties:
  • Develop and manage the student ministry budget with wise stewardship.
  • Communicate with parents through meetings, emails, and other resources.
  • Maintain alignment with Cityview’s vision, theology, and philosophy of ministry.
  • Attend and contribute to staff meetings, events, and leadership development.
  • High School Ministry (Grades 9th-12th):
  • Lead and teach weekly student ministry gatherings (Sunday evenings).
  • Provide pastoral care, discipleship, and mentoring to high school students.
  • Equip and train adult volunteers to lead small groups and mentor students.
  • Plan and execute events such as mission trips, service projects, and camps.
  • Develop a yearly student leader discipleship plan for 11th & 12th grade students.
  • College Ministry (Ages 18-25):
  • Establish a vibrant college ministry that engages college students.
  • Create spaces for worship, community, discipleship, and development.
  • Build partnerships with local colleges and universities in the area.
  • Provide pastoral support, biblical teaching, and leadership for college students.
  • Oversight of Middle School Director and Administrative Assistant:
  • Provide coaching, leadership, and oversight to the Middle School Director.
  • Ensure alignment between middle school, high school, and college ministry.
  • Collaborate on transitions between middle school and high school ministries.
  • Work with the Admin Assistant to ensure that ministry activities are executed.
