Shepherd Staff is honored to be working with Grace Church in Viroqua, WI, as they search for their next Pastor of Worship and Discipleship. Grace Church seeks a Pastor of Discipleship and Worship passionate about fostering spiritual growth through intentional discipleship and congregational worship. This relational role prioritizes equipping families, developing disciple-makers, and building multi-generational connections. As a church that loves to sing, worship is valued as a collective response to God rather than a performance, with songs selected for theological depth and scriptural alignment.

They bring strong planning, administration, and self-management skills, demonstrating the ability to prioritize responsibilities, develop effective systems, and consistently carry initiatives to completion.
Leads worship not as a performer, but as a shepherd—guiding the congregation toward Christ through Scripture-rich, God-centered worship while investing in the spiritual growth and development of worship team members.
They are firmly grounded in Scripture, aligned with the church’s doctrine and philosophy of ministry, and able to teach and apply biblical truth effectively.
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Pastor of Discipleship and Worship will dedicate 70–80% of their time to strengthening discipleship. This involves developing processes for all ages, equipping parents as spiritual influencers, supporting ministry leaders, and training volunteers. They will also help members use their spiritual gifts and foster intergenerational relationships.
The remaining 20–30% focuses on worship and pastoral leadership. Duties include training worship teams, leading music monthly, and preaching up to 12 times annually. The pastor will also join the leadership team, serve alongside the elders and senior pastor, and contribute to the church's overall vision and ministry.
