Parkview is a Christ-centered community known for its relational authenticity, deep compassion for the spiritually wounded, and a long-standing commitment to justice and inclusion. The church has cultivated a culture of grace, diversity, and practical biblical teaching that resonates with a broad range of people—especially families, young professionals, and those exploring faith after past church hurt. Situated in the heart of Chicago’s western suburbs, Parkview continues to be a place where people from all backgrounds can find belonging and purpose.

The ideal candidate will be:

  • A relational, emotionally intelligent leader with a strong ministry background
  • Skilled in staff management, team culture, and strategic execution
  • Comfortable navigating a centrist theological environment with humility and clarity
  • Competent in HR, budgeting, and organizational systems (without needing to be an expert)
  • Experienced in leading change, aligning teams, and developing ministry infrastructure

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Executive Pastor (XP) will serve as a key partner to the Lead Pastor in aligning staff, driving strategy, and supporting long-term church health. This person will play a significant role in shaping Parkview’s staff culture, bringing clarity to roles and priorities, and helping the church build toward a compelling, unified vision for its next chapter.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee ministry strategy, alignment, and execution across departments
  • Strengthen staff culture and help re-establish workplace values and expectations
