Trinity Evangelical Church is a warm, Bible centered, multi-generational congregation with a rich history of faithfully serving its community. The next Lead Pastor will shepherd a congregation eager for strong biblical leadership, relational care, and renewed momentum. This leader will help unify multiple generations around a shared vision, strengthen discipleship, cultivate outreach, and equip the church to reach new believers while honoring Trinity's rich heritage and biblical convictions.


The ideal candidate will be:

  • A bold, biblically grounded preacher who teaches Scripture with clarity, depth, and practical application.
  • A relational shepherd who builds trust before leading change and genuinely enjoys connecting with people across every generation.
  • A humble, Spirit-led leader who can unite the congregation while honoring Trinity's history and leading it into its next season.
  • A visionary who is passionate about discipleship, evangelism, and equipping the church to engage its surrounding community.
  • An experienced leader who understands collaborative leadership and can work effectively within an elder-led governance structure.


POSITION OVERVIEW

The Lead Pastor will provide the spiritual, visionary, and pastoral leadership for Trinity Evangelical Church while partnering closely with the elders and staff. Success during the first 12–18 months will be marked by building relational credibility, strengthening unity, re-engaging ministries, and establishing a clear vision that reflects both the church's biblical convictions and its desire for renewed gospel impact.

This pastor will invest significant time in relationships before implementing major initiatives. Weekly ministry will center on biblical preaching, shepherding the congregation, developing leaders, strengthening discipleship pathways, encouraging volunteer engagement, and fostering outreach that reaches people beyond the church walls. Special attention will be given to strengthening ministry among youth, young adults, and families while continuing Trinity's legacy of serving all generations.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Preach and teach God's Word with biblical conviction, clarity, and practical application.
  • Provide spiritual leadership that strengthens discipleship across every generation.
  • Shepherd the congregation through relational, visible, and approachable pastoral care.
  • Partner with the elder board in providing unified leadership and governance.
  • Cast a compelling vision that builds trust and creates healthy momentum.
  • Equip and mobilize volunteers for meaningful ministry and community outreach.
  • Strengthen ministries serving children, students, young adults, and families.
  • Foster unity while thoughtfully leading necessary change with humility and wisdom.
  • Champion evangelism and local outreach that engages those far from Christ.
  • Develop leaders who can multiply ministry and strengthen the church for future generations.
