Shepherd Staff is honored to be working with Northside Church in Jackson, Tennessee as they search for their next Spiritual Formation and Teaching Pastor. Northside Church is a former United Methodist Church that is now a non-denominational church that adheres to Wesleyan Theology. They are dedicated to sharing God's love and fostering discipleship. Their vision is to develop an authentic, grace-filled community of believers empowered to transform their city with the Gospel. Offering a variety of ministries, Northside serves local and global communities and emphasizes spiritual development through Sunday school, small groups, Bible studies, and age-specific programs. Welcoming individuals from all spiritual backgrounds, the church encourages members to use their unique talents in service.
The Spiritual Formation and Teaching Pastor will be co-leading the Worship Planning Team. This role involves weekly Bible teaching and sanctuary worship leadership, contributing to the overall vision and mission of the church through shared leadership.

POSITION OVERVIEW
A central focus of this position is to develop the spiritual formation of the church by nurturing a culture of discipleship. The pastor will enhance and expand existing systems such as small groups, Sunday school classes, and other adult ministries while envisioning new pathways to guide members into deeper spiritual growth. The role also includes mentoring, pastoral care, and leadership of adult ministry leaders.
