- Exhibit a passion for shepherding and a heart for people in all seasons—especially the sick, grieving, isolated, or homebound.
- Be able to train, encourage, and mobilize volunteers and lay caregivers for impactful ministry (e.g., Stephen Ministry or similar teams).
- Possess strong interpersonal, communication, and counseling skills with the ability to listen deeply and respond with biblical wisdom and compassion.
- Preach and teach with clarity, faithfulness, and pastoral warmth as part of the church’s preaching and discipleship rhythms.
- Work collaboratively with the Senior Pastor, pastoral staff, and ministry teams to support the overall mission and ministry of the church.
- Build and strengthen relationships with local hospitals, care facilities, assisted living centers, and community partners.
- Model a shepherd’s heart—present, prayerful, steady, and approachable.
