Shepherd Staff is honored to be working with New England Bible Church in Andover, MA as they search for their next Associate Pastor. During there nearly 35 year history, many have walked through the doors feeling unsatisfied and frustrated with life, but have been transformed by finding hope and healing through Christ and a welcoming church community.

The primary responsibility of the Associate Pastor is to oversee and provide leadership for the ministries of New England Bible Church.


The ideal candidate will be:

  • A Pastor with strong relational skills
  • A Flexible Administrator
  • An Experienced second chair leader
  • Conservative theologically
  • A Missionary who feels called to New England
  • A worship leader


POSITION OVERVIEW

This is a role for someone that loves a small church that feels like family. You will be a generalist who likes the variety that comes with having your hands in a multitude of ministries in the church. Ideally, you can lead worship, but for the right candidate, the church would be willing to figure out other ways to make worship happen. The church is hoping to bring someone on who can bring some consistency to their worship which currently is entirely volunteer led.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serve as the point person for most ministries. Additionally, he will manage the start-up, training, execution, and accountability for new ministries.
  • Provide day-to-day management of the staff, volunteers, and facilities.
  • Ideally be a capable musician, able to lead the congregation in worship through music.
  • Champion the Small Group Ministry. He will develop new leaders, new groups, and strategies to help connect as many people as possible to a group.
  • Oversee the assimilation of new attendees. This includes connecting individuals or families with ministries as well as equipping them for service.
  • The Associate Pastor will share responsibilities with the pastoral staff, including Counseling, Congregational Care, and Preaching & Teaching


Experience/Education:

  • Hold a bachelor’s degree or higher in a field related to ministry
  • Possess at least 3 years of vocational ministry experience
