Simonton Community Church seeks a Youth Minister to cultivate a Christ-centered ministry for 7th–12th graders. The ideal candidate will build strong relationships with youth and families, oversee programming with the Youth Leadership Team, and ensure the ministry is biblically sound, well-organized, and aligned with the church’s mission. Key responsibilities include planning youth activities, managing the budget, and participating in broader church staff duties under the Family Pastor’s leadership.

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Youth Minister position at Simonton Community Church offers an exciting opportunity to lead youth in a vibrant, multi-generational congregation. The new Youth Minister will have the chance to build upon a strong foundation and further develop a youth ministry known for its depth in biblical teaching and welcoming atmosphere.

Simonton Community Church is firmly grounded in biblical, expository preaching and teaching, with a strong commitment to conservative theology. RESPONSIBILITIES

• To oversee and develop the entire Youth Ministry, which includes everyone in grades 7 through 12
• To develop strong relationships with the youth and their families in order to have a greater impact in their lives for Christ.
• To coordinate, plan, and communicate all of the ministries related to Youth Ministry and to work through the Youth Leadership Team.
• To manage the budget for Youth Ministry according to the principles given.
• To administrate a Biblically-based and professional Youth Ministry that fits in with the overall ministry of this church.
• To be involved in all church staff duties, including meetings and being present at various functions.
• To discover what gifts and abilities the Lord has given him and use those for His glory in the capacity of this church.
• To professionally handle all other duties as assigned by the Family Pastor.
