Shepherd Staff is honored to be working with Northside Church in Jackson, Tennessee, as they search for their next Next Generation Pastor. Northside Church is a non-denominational church that disaffiliated from the UMC in 2020 and is dedicated to sharing God's love and fostering discipleship. Their vision is to develop an authentic, grace-filled community of believers empowered to transform their city with the Gospel. Offering a variety of ministries, Northside serves local and global communities and emphasizes spiritual development through Sunday school, small groups, Bible studies, and age-specific programs. Welcoming individuals from all spiritual backgrounds, the church encourages members to use their unique talents in service.
Northside believes next-generation ministry is about more than creating excellent programs. It is about helping young people be known, grounded in Scripture, surrounded by trusted adults, and invited into the worship, service, and mission of the whole church.
The Next Generation Pastor will give primary, direct leadership to the student ministry while also encouraging and aligning the leaders who serve children and families. This person will join a collaborative pastoral team, contribute to the church's teaching life, and help build a healthy ministry that can flourish for years to come.
