Shepherd Staff is honored to be working with Red House Baptist Church in Richmond, KY as they search for their next Student and Family Pastor. Red House is a warm and inviting community where faith and relationships are at the heart of everything they do. The ideal candidate will:

  • Have a personal and growing relationship with Jesus Christ
  • Be called and committed to leading and serving students and their families in the local church
  • (Preferred) Degree from an accredited seminary or (accepted) an accredited college 
  • Agree with the Current Baptist Faith and Message 
  • Team player that sees value in utilizing volunteers in their area(s) of giftedness
  • Teachable, conscientious, motivated, and a self-starter and a hard worker


 

Responsibilities/ Summary of Duties:

  • Direct, develop, and evaluate a comprehensive student ministry strategy that aligns with the vision and mission of the church and focuses on the spiritual growth of students
  • Plan, organize, and coordinate mission trips (mainly summer), ministry/servant projects, evangelistic outreach opportunities, retreats, conferences, events, and fundraisers, especially Upward Basketball Concessions (and others when needed).
  • Recruit, train, equip, and empower adult leaders and student leaders
  • Be intentional in ministering to parents by engaging, supporting, and involving them in the student ministry
  • Be willing to assist with the college ministry (when available and able) and support our partnership with the Baptist Campus Ministry at Eastern Kentucky University
