First Baptist Church of Broken Arrow is a thriving, multigenerational congregation rooted in the heart of Oklahoma. Under the leadership of Senior Pastor Dr. Matt Brooks, the church is experiencing strong momentum, financial health, and a clear vision for the future.


POSITION OVERVIEW

The Director of Operations is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing the operational, financial, and administrative life of the church. This leader partners closely with the Senior Pastor and Executive Pastor to ensure vision is resourced wisely, systems operate with excellence, and teams are supported to lead well.


This is a leader-of-leaders role, not simply an operational manager. The Director of Operations oversees finance, facilities, HR, administrative systems, and risk management while helping the church move quickly, wisely, and collaboratively. FBCBA is a fast-paced, vision-driven church with a debt-free campus and significant initiatives ahead.



The ideal candidate will be:

  • A proven leader of leaders with experience in complex organizations or large-church environments
  • Financially fluent, with a strong grasp of budgets, financial statements, audits, and fiduciary responsibility
  • A strategic, collaborative thinker who thrives in a fast-moving, mission-focused culture
  • Relationally intelligent, humble, and trusted by staff and leadership
  • Deeply aligned with the mission of the local church and committed to ongoing growth


 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide executive oversight of church operations, including finance, facilities, HR, and administrative systems
  • Steward multi-million-dollar budgets with integrity and transparency
  • Partner with senior leadership in strategic planning and long-range initiatives
  • Lead, develop, and support department leaders and staff
  • Ensure strong systems for compliance, audits, and financial reporting
