Shepherd Staff is honored to be working with Morningside Church in Port St. Lucie, Florida as they search for their next Youth Pastor. Morningside Church is a growing congregation with Wesleyan theology and an average attendance of approximately 800 people across three weekend services. Morningside is deeply committed to outreach, youth engagement, Christian education, and long-term kingdom impact in their community.



The ideal candidate will be:

  • Growth-minded, with a passion to see students come to Christ and mature in their faith
  • A strong communicator and engaging preacher who connects naturally with students
  • A relational leader who builds healthy volunteer teams and partners effectively with parents


POSITION OVERVIEW

Morningside Church is seeking a proven Youth Pastor to lead and grow a vibrant ministry to students (grades 6–12), while also launching a healthy young adult ministry and serving as Campus Pastor for Morningside Academy.

This leader will step into a ministry with strong potential for growth, including access to 375 academy students in grades 6–12 and a committed volunteer base. The church is looking for a long-term leader who will bring spiritual depth, strategic planning, and relational energy to help the ministry expand its reach both within the academy and into the surrounding community.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee all ministries for students in grades 6–12
  • Develop and maintain a weekly discipleship program for students
  • Coordinate weekly student worship services, small groups, outreach events, camps, retreats, and mission trips
  • Recruit, train, and lead volunteer teams
  • Serve as Campus Pastor for Morningside Academy (grades 6–12), including monthly chapel speaking, scheduling speakers, and developing Bible studies
  • Start and grow a Young Adult ministry
  • Manage the Student Ministry budget and provide financial oversight
  • Partner with parents and other church ministries to support family discipleship
