Shepherd Staff is honored to be working with LifePoint Church in Ozark, Missouri as they search for their next Lead Pastor. The people called LifePoint are passionate about worshipping God and serving others and are intentional about growing God's grace and sharing Jesus.


The Lead Pastor is responsible for providing spiritual leadership for LifePoint Church.


The ideal candidate will be

A Christ-centered, visionary leader with strong Biblical preaching skills and the ability to deliver expository, culturally relevant messages. They are relational and approachable, marked by integrity and humility, and passionate about building a connected church community while actively engaging in outreach to serve others.


POSITION OVERVIEW AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Vision

The Lead Pastor serves as guardian of the overall vision of the church.

● Establish vision for mission and direction. Lead Elder Council to adopt the vision and

cast vision to the congregation.


Preaching

● Preach the whole counsel of God from His Word, the Bible, so people can understand,

believe, and obey to follow Jesus, grow, and grow up as a Christian.

● Provide the defining voice of vision and leadership for LifePoint Church.


Leadership

The Lead Pastor cultivates a culture of servant leadership in the church.

● Lead as first among equals within the Elder Council.

        Oversee Elder structure, development, and ongoing training.

● Serve on the Board of Directors for direction and accountability.


Pastoral Ministry

● Oversee a pastoral ministry system to provide counsel, visitation, prayer, and officiants

for weddings and funerals.


Executive/Administration

● Develop policy that guides all matters of management and oversight for these areas to

maximize resources for missions.
