Shepherd Staff is honored to be working with El Camino Baptist Church in Tucson, AZ as they search for their next Director of Student Ministry. El Camino Church is a conservative Baptist church of 300 in attendance.


We are seeking a passionate, creative individual to relaunch and build a vibrant youth program at El Camino Church. The Director of Student Ministry will be responsible for creating an engaging and supportive environment where young people can grow in their faith, develop strong relationships, and actively participate in the church's life.

POSITION OVERVIEW

The ideal candidate embraces a challenge and displays an entrepreneurial mindset with a willingness to innovate and try new things while learning throughout the process. He is patient with growth and eager to reach out to the community of students in the area. He knows how to balance the ministry with fun and deep learning. He feels called to student ministry and can cast a vision and plan for growth.


RESPONSIBILITIES

The Director of Student Ministry will be responsible for:

  • Youth Development
  • Youth Recruitment and Outreach
  • Leadership and Team Development
  • Church Integration


Qualifications include:

  • Deep faith in Jesus
  • Some prior experience
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Preferred bachelor’s degree in theology/ministry


This person will possess a heart for young people and a vision for an innovative youth ministry.
