Shepherd Staff is honored to be working with Little Flock Baptist Church in Shepherdsville, KY as they search for their next Discipleship Pastor. Little Flock is a growing Southern Baptist Church with roots in the community for more than 200 years. The church has a blue-collar mentality, even though it has a diversity of socioeconomic backgrounds. There is a deep care for the community and one another.
The Discipleship Pastor will oversee the church’s spiritual formation and disciple-making processes. This role exists to develop and implement a clear, scalable discipleship strategy that helps people grow in spiritual maturity, biblical literacy, and Christlike character. The Discipleship Pastor will train and equip leaders, launch and support community groups and discipleship groups, and build a robust mentoring culture across all age groups.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Discipleship Strategy Development - Continue to build and lead a church-wide discipleship framework that aligns with the church's mission, values, and theological convictions.
Groups Leadership - Recruit, train, equip, and coach leaders to launch and multiply healthy Community Groups (fellowship and application), Discipleship Groups (intentional growth and accountability), and Mentoring Relationships (spiritual guidance).
Training & Equipping - Develop a leadership pipeline for discipling group leaders, mentors, and future disciplers.
Mentoring Culture Development - Launch and oversee a mentoring program that matches mature believers with younger believers or new members.
Missions Integration (Local, National, Global) - Partner with mission teams and church leadership to promote a disciple-making culture that reaches beyond the church walls.
