Shepherd Staff is honored to be working with Majestic Baptist Church in Pueblo West, CO as they search for their next Associate Pastor of Worship and Discipleship. Majestic Baptist Church is a welcoming community known for its strong sense of family and active involvement in ministry. With around 300 in worship attendance, the church is thriving while looking forward to growth. Its blended worship style appeals to all ages, combining both modern and traditional elements.



The ideal candidate will be:


  • Demonstrate an unquestioned and vital commitment to Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.
  • Must demonstrate good leadership and organizational skills.
  • Ministry and Music Education or related ministry experience (Seminary degree preferred or pursued).
  • Prefer the ability to lead worship from an instrument (both piano and/or guitar).
  • Must possess the ability to lead a congregation in the worship of God by drawing attention to Him rather than to self or performers.
  • Possess strong motivational gifts and demonstrate the diplomacy, flexibility, and interpersonal skills necessary for working at a church.
  • Work heartily with present Ministry Staff to develop the Majestic mission: Helping every person connect with Jesus.



Responsibilities:


  • Plan and lead celebrative and passionate worship services in conjunction with the Senior Pastor. Select music that matches the Senior Pastor’s message and MBC style of contemporary/praise/traditional worship.
  • Develop all Music Ministries (sound, video, lights, computer-IMac and Pro Presenter, etc.) and disciple the individuals in the Music Ministry.
  • Oversee the maintenance of all music, sound, video, computer, light equipment and the visual presentation of the Worship Center.
  • Work with Staff to follow up with guests. Foster an attitude of acceptance and understanding of new people by the present attendees of Majestic.
  • Serve on the Elder Team (monthly meetings) and attend Staff meetings, providing valuable input on areas of responsibility.
  • Develop community ministries with the Elder Team and Staff.
