Shepherd Staff is honored to be working with First Baptist Mt. Juliet in Mt. Juliet, TN as they search for their next Children's Ministry Pastor/Director. First Mt. Juliet is a historical, vibrant, resilient, Christ-centered church located in the growing community of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee. This multigenerational church is known for its warm welcome, strong biblical teaching, and commitment to serving both local and global communities. The church seeks to make disciples who love God, love people, and go into the world. With a legacy of faithful ministry and a vision for the future, the story of First Mt. POSITION OVERVIEW

To reach kids for Christ so that they love God, love others, and live on mission. This position will both shepherd and lead the church’s children’s staff, volunteers, kids and parents as well as coordinate with and shepherd the Superintendent of the school, kids, and parents.  

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Strong Team player and builder who can help unify and inspire leaders. 
  • Supportive and engaging with the senior pastor and all other ministerial and support staff.
  • Embrace a vibrant vision for the Children's Ministry consistent with FBC Mt. Juliet mission statement. 
  • Commit to and support the theological and doctrinal stance of FBC Mt. Juliet and the SBC.
  • University graduate, preferably with a complimentary major to enhance ministry to children; Seminary education or equivalent experience and training in Christian Education or within a ministry context.
  • Continue to study and grow in knowledge and practical ministry strategies current with culture, trends, and societal changes. 
  • Love kids and grant grace in discipline. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Possess and demonstrate competency in current technologies.
  • Demonstrate strong conflict management and public relation skills. 
  • Demonstrate flexibility and calm under pressure in changing and/or emergency situations.
